What are the Message Boards?
Message boards are one of the easiest ways of communicating and meeting new people on Neopets. There are currently
19 main boards, but 20 counting the Jelly World board. All these boards (or most of them) serve a helpful purpose.
What are these boards for?
The Avatars/NeoSignature board is for people who are mainly on Neopets for avatars and hot looking siggies.
Do you want to know how to get that hot new avatar? Go there, they normally know. And! You may even find
a kind person who will let you borrow an expensive item to get an avatar. That normally comes at a collateral price,
which means you pay them the price in NP and if you don't return it, they're not out anything. You can also get help
with different questions concerning siggies too.
The Beauty Contest board is where you advertise your lovely, er, or your not so lovely artwork for people to
vote for it. You can also get opinions or ideas too. You may find a drawing you just have to vote for as
well.
The Games board is a great place to find tips, hints, and tricks for your favorite games. You can also
get people to play games you created yourselves. It's a great place to get into the "game", okay bad pun.
The Guild board is where you go if you need a guild or if you're advertising one. A great place for big
guild go-ers.
The Help board is where you can usually go for the most help. Though in my experience, the Help board
is where Newbies go for help and stuck up 3 year members go to report people. Most posts don't get answered or you can
slip up and do something wrong, and end up reported.
Neo Quest/Neo Quest II boards are to, you guessed it, chat about Neo Quest and Neo Quest II
The Neopets Trading Card Game board is just that. Look for who's buying, selling, and collecting.
You can post if you have a great card at a hot deal or if you need one. If you're into that stuff, it's your place to
go.
Plot - Curse of Maraqua board is to chat about the current plot, The Curse of Maraqua. And they do exactly
that.
Quests board is where you go when you get that dreaded or beloved quest from a faerie. You can ask for
usernames of people that have the item you need (since you can't use the shop wizard) or someone may even give it to you.
You can also help others out in their quests.
The Role Playing board is for anyone who loves to be someone other than themselves. There are cruise ships,
anime T.V., families, love stories, Neopets, and many other creative plots for people to take part in.
The Shop Ads board is to advertise your shop or gallery. If you have a great sale going on, post
and everything will more than likely sell out. You can also post if you are looking for certain things. But if
you just say, post shops here, you may get nasty shops with junk and things no one wants, unless you're a packrat.
Stock Tips board is where you chat about your stocks, others stocks, and the Neopian buissness world in general.
That whole board seems like Greek to me, but if you get it, more power to ya, and you may enjoy it and get great investing
ideas.
The Trading/Auctions board is where you post great trades and auctions or look for deals yourself. This
is one of the best ways to find cheap things.
There are several other boards BUT these boards don't really follow topic. Most of them are random chat boards
where people talk about anything from music to life to T.V. to Neopets. Some follow topic a bit but there are more random
off topic things on them.

**NEWBIES** This board is probably the worst of them all because it is full of No0bs and Newbies
who are idiots or just are new to the game and they post tons of stupid messages that anyone on another board would just report
on the spot. But if you have anything to advertise, go there, Newbies are more likely to try or visit anything!
Chat Preferences
Avatars!
You don't have to get any secret avatars since Neopets offers quite a few basic ones of pets and faeries.
For more on Avatars go to the
Avatars page. Simply at the top of the page click the drop down list and choose a new avie. You can view your current
avie on the left and the one you are selecting on the right.
Neo Title!
The Neo Title appears under your username on the left of your messages. All the Neo Title does
is describe you a bit from a simple :[ to a complex Hidden Tower Hunter or o_0. LOL.
NeoHTML!
This changes the color of your font. You can change the color to:
[font c=red]NeoHTML[/font]
Be sure to end the font or else it won't work. You can get even more complex than that and add sups
which raise text in the air.
[font c=purple][sup]HI![/sup][/font][font c=blue]NeoHTML[/font]
There is much more you can do in NeoHTML as well. Toy with it but remember, you
only have a limited amount of space!
NeoSignature!
The siggies are basically a way to get across your personality. If you want people to join your guild
put "Hey come to Wacka Wacka Ding Dong Guild Today!" and then put a link to it if you'd like. You could even put links
to Beauty Contest Entries, shops, NeoAdventures, or like me, Neo sites. Or you can go another way and put a funny comment
like "You blinked... REPORTED" or "Siggy Gone Fishing, Be Back Soon!" It's completely up to you. You can change
colors on there just as you would in your NeoHTML.
NeoBoard Language!

Font View!
