Adobe Photoshop CS2
**For further help, click the images below the step. It will enlarge the thumbnail for further explanation.**
1. First off, you should start with a blended image (see ). It doesn't have to be blended, but that's what I'm using.
2. Now go to Layer; Merge Down until you've merged everything together except for the background (see
here).
3. Duplicate the layer (your image) by selecting the layer and going to Layer; Duplicate Layer.
Do this twice.
4. On the second layer change the color to overlay and then go to Filter; Blur; Gaussian Blur.
5. On the third layer select the third layer and change it to soft light then go to Filter; Blur;
Gaussian Blur.
6. Now it should look something like this.
7. Go to Layer; Merge Down until you have all the layers merged except for the background.
8. Go to Layer; New; Layer. Put that layer between your image and the background layer.
Fill it with white.
9. Now select the Rectangle Marquee Tool and select the outside of the image (see here). Don't
worry, you won't delete your image. Now before you do anything go to Select; Inverse. Click backspace a couple
of times until you're satisfied. It should look like this:
10. Wala! You have a pretty angelic image. Fool around with it a bit now that you know
the basics and try to come up with your own style.
